This is the jazz piano site of Doug McKenzie.

It contains many downloadable files in WMA format of recordings of live played midi files. Instead of relying on the often poor quality soundcards in most computers, these have been recorded using a Yamaha P250 digital piano, and high end sampled bass and drums. For students, who wish to study these recordings, these are a selection from over 250 midi files of jazz standards at: http://home.wanadoo.nl/dougmckenzie

The WMA audio or WMV video files should 'stream' to your media player as they load. For some there are also 'Marker' files that explain some of the melodic and harmonic techniques used and/or Leadsheets (as PDF files that should open in Acrobat Reader).

The files change regularly - so check this site often.

SPECIAL NOTE: a number of people have asked if any of these videos are available on DVD or CD.

They all can be downloaded freely from this site, but if you have a very slow internet connection, or would like the convenience of them being instantly available on your computer, all the videos, audio files, transcriptions and leadsheets on this site will fit on a single DVD - this is the equivalent of having all of this site available without having to download any of them. This will play from the DVD player on your computer, but not as a standard type video DVD such as you might have attached to your TV.

There are over 90 videos (over 6 hours of music) on the DVD, all annotated, and many with transcriptions, as well as quite a few other audio files. There are also quite a few enhanced videos, transcriptions and backing tracks that are only on the DVD which are not on this site ....... for example:
